Summary
The governments of Cuba, Venezuela, Guyana, Trinidad and Barbados have persistently named Posada as the main suspect in the downing of Cubana Airlines flight CU-455 of Bar.bados's west coast on October 6th, 1976. Two bombs ripped apart the aircraft shortly after take off from Barbados as it headed to Jamaica before concluding in Cuba.
Posada, a fierce critic of Cuba's communist system and President Fidel Castro, was immediately named as the main suspect by Cuba and Venezuela given earlier statements he had made to CIA officials that a Cuban aircraft would have been hit sometime.
