Summary


Many of the arias and duets featured on Sunday's program were researched by the tenor Aubry Bryan at the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. Especially interesting are excerpts from the opera "Ernestine," which had a libretto by Chandolos de Laclos, who wrote the revolutionary novel "Les Liaisons Dangerueses."

At 7 p.m. in the evening, many of the leading figures on the theatrical scene gathered at Aaron Davis Hall/City Col- lege to attend "An Evening to Remember," a fundraiser for the Negro Ensemble Company (NEC), Inc. arranged by chairman of the board, George A. Williams. This gala occasion was preceded by a reception.
