How beautiful did Queen Latifah look as she appeared on the Oscars? Lefs not forget Monique (yeah, for Best Supporting Actress!), Gabourey Sidibe and the always-spectacular Jennifer Lopez. They all looked fabulous. Sorry to say I didn't care for the dress worn by Zoe SaJdana, as I couldn't quite figure out what the hemline was supposed to be made o£ It was a bit much for my taste. Congratulations to Geoffrey Fletcher, who won Best Adapted Screenplay for "Precious."
For all of you opera buffs, and I know you're out there, on March 18, the New York City Opera will celebrate the opening of its 2010 spring season with a gala performance of Chabrierfe "L'Étoile." The evening will begin with cocktails from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the performance, which will be followed by a grand evening of dinner and waltzing to music performed by the New York City Opera Orchestra on the promenade of the David H. Koch Theater.
