Sure-Fire 'Munich' Shows Even Israelis Have Doubts

Summary

There are times, and film critics and media pundits love to point them out, where it seems like subtlety has all but deserted popular culture. Then you go a see a movie like "Munich" and your faith in the ability of man to still make great art is restored. "Munich" is certainly one of the best films of the year and is a must-see for anyone interested in going beyond the simple rhetoric that passes for dialogue today.

There are a lot of things to like about this film, from the haunting score to the brilliant cinematography, but it is the subtlety that most affects the audience. The director dared to show the Palestinians not just as cold-blooded killers but as people who cared as much as the Israelis about their homeland and, like them, were willing to do anything for it.
