In an interview that aired this past Tuesday on HBO's highly acclaimed program "Real Sports," among the opinions that the 38-year-old [Gary Antonian Sheffield] offered to interviewer Andrea Kremer (a highly competent and objective sports journalist) was that Yankees manager Joe Torre exhibits inequality in his interactions with Black and white players. Sheffield contended that although he does not believe Torre is anti-Black, he perceives the overall culture of the Yankees organization as indifferent to Black players.
