The 2007 Touareg is available with a 45-state certified VlO TDI diesel engine churning out 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft. of torque. In the first quarter of 2007, Volkswagen's SUV undergoes a facelift and gets more powerful gasoline engines. The V6 goes from 3.2 to 3.6 liters. Horsepower jumps from 240 to 276, while torque increases from 229 to 266 lb-ft. The V8 remains 4.2 liters but produces 350 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. (up from 310 and 302, respectively). The MSRP for the V6 Touareg will be $37,990, the V8 sucker starts at $42,990 while the V10 TDI's will be $59,020.
