HADLEY1S ''LIGHT IN THE CELLAR" HITS HSOA STAGE OCT. 23: IT'S HERE!... "Light in the Cellar," written by the HADLEY Players founder and CEO [Gertrude Jeannette], direct- ed by Patricia R. Floyd and based on Ms. Jeannette's novel, "The Secret in the Cellar," opens at Harlem School of the Arts The- atre (647 St. Nicholas Avenue at 142nd Street), Friday, October 23 and runs through November 15.

NEC'S "SAVANNAH BLACK & BLUE" UPDATE: The Negro Ensemble Company's "Savannah Black & Blue," a powerful new production written and produced by Raymond Jones and directed by NEC's Artistic Director Charles Weldon, hits the stage at the Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street, Manhattan, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), Thursday, November 5 and runs through Sunday, November 22.

PAUL MOONEYS "OK! WE GOT A BLACK PRESIDENT, NOW WHAT?": This is it. World-famous comedian, actor, writer, producer Paul Mooney brings his special brand of on-the-edge comedie genius for one night only to the prestigious Black Spectrum Theatre stage in "OK! We Got a Black President, Now What?" on Friday, October 23 for two fantastic shows. Show times are 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The Negro Ensemble Company's "Savannah Black & Blue," a powerful new production written and produced by Raymond Jones and directed by NEC's Artistic Director Charles Weldon, hits the stage at the Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street, Manhattan, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), Thursday, November 5 and runs through Sunday, November 22. The set designer is Randall Parsons, costume designer Mark Richard Caswell, lighting designer Ves Weaver, stage manager Elliot Lanes, and assistant stage manager Edward Robinson.
