"Ironically, this is actually our first practice in a while," he said. "I was a little worried because we didn't get to practice much last week with all the snow and ice. We had to cancel some of our practice sessions. Yet it is clear that they were working hard and practicing because they are as enthusiastic as ever. They are clearly up for the challenge."

"We provide leadership and personal development assistance to these young men," said [Terrance A. Bowman], who is vice president of CIG Technical Operations for JP Morgan Chase & Co. "We serve as their role models as they make their transition out of high school. We have a lot of different workshops and programs they are involved in. It was more recently that we got them involved in this step competition."

"We are excited to compete again," Bowman said. "Last year we were able to easily win. This year we are just as fired up. The team is in full gear to o reclaim their throne."

The group's advisor, Orma Berry, reached out to members of the Chester Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. in Delaware County, to recruit Black men to assist in the program.
