Summary
The controversy stems from intensely sexually explicit cell phone text messages sent by [Kwame Kilpatrick] to [Christine Beatty] in 2002 and 2003. The messages were entered into evidence during a highly publicized whistleblower's trial last year that centered on the mismanagement of city funds and other questionable business dealings by Kilpatrick and members of his administration.
