The success of [Jimmy Rodriguez]'s Bronx Cafe led him in 2000 to open Jimmy's Uptown on Adam Clayton Powell and 130th Street and Jimmy's Downtown in Sutton Place on East 57th. Jimmy's City Island followed a year ago.
Recently, though, Rodriguez sold his penthouse apartment, closed Jimmy's Downtown for renovations with a plan to reopen in September, and sold Jimmy's Uptown and Jimmy's City Island.
