Homeless Prevention Program Comes to Brooklyn

Summary


The Housing Help program, which was first initiated in the Bronx, incorporates funding from both the private and public sector to create a "holistic approach" to homelessness, according to Seven Kaufman, senior director of public relations for the United Way.

"This project has established that using lawyers and social workers together to prevent needless evictions is successful and benefits families in crisis and helps prevent homelessness," New York Civil Court Judge Fern Fisher said in a press statement.
