Inadvertently revealing that she has seen her beauty in part as an obstacle, she said that she consciously knew when she started out that she would "have to do movies where my physical self was erased...and I would have to force people to see past this shell." Asked if she still felt this way today, she replied, "Not in the way I did in the beginning. I think I've done enough work that has been respected that I think people look past it."
