Summary
On our floating hotel for the next five days, Carnival's Elation, there were numerous places to get our fun on. In addition to the main, secondary and children's pools, four hot tubs, poolside bars and outdoor entertainment stage, we had the option of playing ping pong, basketball, miniature golf, in the video arcade or walking/running on the outdoor "City Park" track. This, in addition to all of the intermittent fun and games with the Cruise Director and social staff for activities like a scavenger hunt, ship building competition, lido deck and pool games, ice carving demonstrations, dance competitions, team games and more.
Entertainment options included The Mikado, where the comedy and entertainment shows, as well as Bingo, special guest receptions, informational ship sessions and so forth were held, the Mark Twain Library with books and board games, Duke's Piano Bar, the Casablanca Casino, Musical Café, Jekyll & Hyde Dance Club, Gatsby's Great Bar, the Cole Porter Club and Drama Bar. And if you absolutely must watch TV (I avoid this like the plague when on vacation), there are first-run movies as well as sitcom reruns, news, cartoons, etc. featured daily on the in-cabin TV.Let's not forget the food! There are ample opportunities to overindulge in gastronomy practically 24/7 at the pizza bar, outdoor grill, Tiffany's Bar & Grill, where all the buffet meals are served, formal Imagination and Inspiration dining rooms, decadent dessert and coffee bar and at the occasional on deck gala midnight buffets (and yes, there is cabin service too).See the full content of this document
