Legal Dramas Linger Over Estates of Legendary Singers

Summary

GERALD LEVERTS ESTATE IN FAMILY FLUX: Although it's been years since I'd seen him, I still considered R&B crooner Gerald Levert my friend. That's because since the first time I interviewed him in the '80s and early '90s, when he first rose to fame as lead singer of Levert, whenever we ran into each other at a music industry show or event, we always had a great time catching up with whatever each of us was doing.

According to the website, Gerald's main residence is also at the heart of the legal infighting. [Gibson] had planned to split the estate in Cuyahoga County Probate Court, where he has argued, the singer lived and spent most of his work and much of his free time. The mothers' lawyers say the process, by law, should take place in Geauga County, where Levert had a home in Newbury Township. How this Levert monetary "family" feud turns out is anyone's guess. Whatever happens though, let's hope the spirit of Gerald Levert continues to rest in peace.

[CHRIS TUCKER] RETURNS IN "RUSH HOUR 3": Okay, I know Chris Tucker isn't the world's greatest actor. From "Friday," in which, co-starring with Ice Cube, he played a potsmoking, potty mouth, to the two "Rush Hour" movies, in which he co-starred in with [JACKIE CHAN], Tucker plays the same crazy character over and over. Still, the very rich and famous actor/comedian continues to attract huge audiences to his movies. Here's where I confess: Despite Tucker's frenzied, one-note roles, I still enjoy him on the big screen.
