Summary
[Dazivedo Watson] came to Harlem from Jamaica and quickly became involved in the Harlem community, founding the 2460 Adam clayton Powell Boulevard Association and serving as a HPD 7A administrator, overseeing the renewal and reconstruction of buildings all over Harlem. It was this activism that drew various candidates for city and state public office to Dazivedo for help with getting out the vote, securing endorsements and utilizing his tremendous political acumen to aid in their campaigns.
