The Murry Bergtraum Blazers, winners of seven straight PSAL titles and three straight Class AA federation titles, were hoping to extend that streak against Christ the King in the finals on Saturday. But Christ the King's 6-4 junior center, Tina Charles, was too much for the Blazers as she posted 20 points and 20 rebounds in her team's 66-59 win over Murry Bergtraum. Bergtraum star Epiphanny Prince led her team with 27 points on 10-for-30 shooting. For the Christ the King Royals (27-0), ranked No. 1 in USA Today's Super 25 poll, it's their 12th federation title overall and their first since 2000, when they knocked off Murry Bergtraum.
