Men's Defensive Player of the Year James Dillard hails from Johnson C. Smith University. Dillard, a junior forward from Apex, NG, is listed at the top of the conference in blocked shots, with 50 total and 2.27 per game, and ranks in the CIAA's top 5 rebounders with 8.2 rebounds per game, 180 total. Tatiana ElUs of Saint Paul's College, the 2009 CIAA Player of the Year, and Anthony Hilliard, the Elizabeth City State University two-time CIAA Player of the Year, lead the conference in scoring.
