Senate Approves Aids Prevention Strategy Measure

"HIV/AIDS in the U.S. is at crisis levels, while the administration has failed to respond appropriately to address the domestic epidemic," said Ronald Johnson, deputy executive director of AIDS Action. "We need a national strategy to [devise] a more effective, outcomes-oriented domestic response to HIV/AIDS."

The additional funding would support staff, meeting expenses, research and various consultations, and other miscellaneous expenses associated with developing and implementing a National AIDS Strategy for the U.S. "HIV/AIDS in the U.S. is at crisis levels, while the administration has failed to respond appropriately to address the domestic epidemic," said Ronald Johnson, deputy executive director of AIDS Action.
