The Riverside Church is committed to working with local HIV/AIDS service providers to broaden outreach and to help individuals get tested and connected to caring services. Oliver Martin, who has been with Riverside Church since the early '90s, has been an integral part of the Ministry. He was inspired a year ago, as he recounts, "President Bush, in a speech, called for greater faith-based support for HIV/AIDS involvement, we didn't know if that meant the federal government was pulling away or not. But we stepped up our initiatives and now we are collaborating with an even greater number of institutions and governmental agencies."
